A massive police presence accompagnied the demonstration. Activists tried to join the demonstration leaving the subway at Kings Cross, and were then stopped by the police. Several arrests occurred.

Downing Street no. 10 was protected by an extra fence.

There was even a pro-capitalist demonstration at The Strand.
