At the 10th anniversary symposium of the WTO in Geneva, Mariama Williams from the International Gender and Trade Network (IGTN) gave a general outline of gender and macroeconomics, focussing at the main tensions in the relationship between trade, development and gender Issues at stake Helen Rupp gives an Overview of the issues at stake and reviews the literature and research done on agriculture trade and gender. Gender and Macro-economics Jayati Ghosh wrote a note on "Gender and Macro-economics" for a High Level Panel at the 49. Session of the Commission of the Status of Women (Beijing+10) on March 10th, 2005 at the United Nations in New York. The paper explores the impact of trade liberalisation on women's labour and livelihood.
