Between 500,000 and 1 million people filled the streets of downtown Los Angeles, USA, on March 25th, 2006 to protest the anti-immigrant bill HR4437, which would make all 12 million undocumented people in the United States into felons as well as anyone who aids undocumented people in any way. Families, labor, civic, religious and political groups came out strong in a mostly Latino demonstration, overwhelming all the organizers' expectations. City officials are saying it is the largest demonstration they have ever seen.

Since the past week, Moroccan Authorities are responsible of Sub-Saharan immigrants' deportations to the Sahara Dessert, on Argelian territory.
They don't have into account any agreement to accept these deportations.
Deported immigrants are in an arid zone with just sand, no town, no food, no water.
There are declarations that report about eight deaths (one woman among them) and a undetermined number of disappeared persons.
Sub-Saharan's original countries are numerous: Congo RCD, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria, Liberia, Cameroon, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Congo, Brazzaville, Gambia, Niger, Somalia, Sudan etc...

So what the heck is the digital divide? In our post-dot-com times the phrase has become one of those empty buzzwords people constantly use but rarely know what they are talking about. But, here is our attempt at TWM (Third World Majority) at a definition In the U.S., the digital divide refers to the gap between people and communities who can make effective use of information technology and those who cannot. The digital divide, however, is also a continuance of already existing divides of race, class, and gender disparities that are firmly institutionalized in the U.S. and other Western nations rather than a new and isolated phenomenon. These disparities stem from histories of colonization, slavery, and dispossession as well as other forms of violence. Media such as commercial Western cinema and network news intensifies these various forms of violence, as do new digital media such as the Internet.

Precarious, Precarization, Precariat?
The following text is the slightly revised version of a working paper. It was written and distributed by people from frassanito-network for the euromayday-preparation-meeting in Berlin in January 2005. And this paper is still on the move. As known we emphasize the interconnection between the (migrationrelated) day of action on 2nd of april and Euromayday. Contact: frassainfo at kein.org
